Dive into the Pink Announces 2019 Think Pink Photo Contest

The nonprofit organization Dive into the Pink announces its third annual Think Pink photo contest. Organized by Dive into the Pink and supported by Dive Photo Guide, the competition invites photographers to submit their most exciting underwater images that feature the color pink. Proceeds will be used to support the fight against breast cancer.

The contest is open for entries June 17 through July 12, 2019, for both wide-angle and macro categories. Rules and submission guidelines are available at diveintothepink.org/think-pink.

Prizes include a trip to Anilao sponsored by Crystal Blue Resort; a liveaboard trip to Indonesia sponsored by Dive Damai; underwater photography gear from Light and Motion, Sea and Sea, and Saga; and books sponsored by Tobias Friedrich and C2G2 Productions. The judging panel is made up of professional underwater photographers Erin Quigley, Adam Hanlon, Kerri Bingham and Hergen Spalink.

Winning images will be used to help promote Dive into the Pink and the fourth annual Pink Auction, a silent online auction that kicks off September 28 and runs through October 7, 2019. Items up for bid include exotic dive trips, dive gear, underwater photography gear, jewelry and apparel. Learn more at 32auctions.com/divepink2019.

About Dive into the Pink
Dive into the Pink was founded in 2016 by Allison Vitsky Sallmon, a breast cancer survivor, veteran scuba diver and underwater photographer, who wanted to raise money to fight cancer by mobilizing the scuba community through dive charters and dive-related activities. Dive into the Pink is a 501c3 organization, and 100% of its proceeds are redistributed. Beneficiaries include the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), an international organization dedicated to the critical issues of young women with breast cancer, and the Guise Laboratory at Indiana University, that is investigating whether certain characteristics of the bone marrow microenvironment can alter/promote the spread of cancer to the bone.
